Tour Description

Hindu traditions speak a lot about India. The char dhams including Yamunotri, Gangotri,Kedarnath and Badrinath are considered to be highly sacred by the Hindu community all acorss the world. Every Hindu wishes to go on a chardham yatra atleast once in their lifetime. The yatra, as per the Hindu mythology, helps them get rid of their past sins and frees them from the cycle of birth and death. We at Namita Travels has been organising chardham tours in the Uttarakhand region for many years.

  • All adults are requested to carry 2 photo copy of any Photo ID proof (Except Pan Card) along with them.

Tour Description

DAY 1

Delhi to Haridwar (230 kms/6-7hrs)

Pick up to Delhi airport/ railway station. Lunch in Meerut and evening dinner and Ganga aarti darshan. Overnight stay (Hotel Park in) in haridwar.205 km distance 6 hours journey.

DAY 2

Haridwar to Barkot (220kms/7hr)

Drive to Barkot via Dehradun & Mussoorie. Enroute visit Kempty Fall and others later drive straight to your Hotel for night halt.

DAY 3

Barkot to Yamunotri (46.4 km/2 to 3 hr)Barkot {36kms drive & 6kms Trek (one side)}

Drive to Jankichatti / Phoolchatti, trek start from here to Yamunotri (6kms). Either by walk or by horse or by Doli at own cost. Later drive back to Barkot. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Barkot to Uttrakashi (3 h/95km)

Drive to Uttarkashi. Check in Hotel,. Night Halt.

DAY 5

Uttarkashi to Gangotri to Uttarkashi (8 h 35 min (190 km) via NH34)

We proceed to Gangotri (3048 mts), enroute we enjoy picturesque Harsil village, Bhagirathi River and the most magnificent view of the Himalayas. After Gangotri Darshan we return to Uttarkashi. Oernight stay at Uttarkashi.

Uttarkashi to Guptkashi (7 h 12 min (196.6 km))

Early morning, drive straight to Guptkashi. Check in Hotel, night halt.

DAY 7

Guptkashi to Kedarnath (30kms by road & 18kms Trek)

Morning drive to Gaurikund, Trek start from Gaurikund to Kedarnath (3584 mts) on foot or on by pony / Doli. Tour members should carry personal medicines, heavy woolen, toiletries and clothes for an overnight halt at Kedarnath. Check in Hotel. Later visit Kedarnath Temple. Night halt.(chan) (halipad) 13 day (night stay kadhearnath)

DAY 8

Kedarnath to Guptkashi(6 h 57 min/210.8 km)

Morning drive to Guptkashi, en-route visit Tehri Dam & continue journey toward Guptkashi. Upon arrival in check-in at hotel. Later in the evening visit Kashi Vishwnath Temple, Ardh Narishwar Temple, Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Guptakashi : is located in the Northern Himalayan belt within the Mandakini river valley, which has lush green forests. A number of streams and rivulets drain into the main Mandakini River. It has salubrious climate with its elevation being around 1,319 meters (4,330 ft). The snow sparkling view of the Chaukhamba peak is a lovely sight to behold in the morning hours from here. The valley has large magnolia trees (locally called Champa) that provide a sweet scented atmosphere to the place.Early morning, drive straight to Guptkashi. Check in Hotel, night halt.

DAY 9

Guptkashi to Badrinath(10 h 42 min/326.5 km) BADRINATH (72 KMS)

Morning drive to Shree Badrinath Ji, en-route visit Narsingh Mandir, Adi Sankarachara Samadhi and Hathi Parwat from Joshimath.On arrival Badrinath check in at hotel. Afternoon take a holy Dip in Narad Kund Darshan of Shree BADRIVISHAL JI, evening visit of Mana village – (the last village before the Tibetan border), also visit Byas Gufa, Ganesh Temple, Shree Saraswati Temple, Saraswati River, see the beautiful confluence of Saraswati River and Alaknanda from Mana Village called” Keshavpryag” after a beautiful trip come back to Hotel, Evening perform Sri Badrinath Ji Arti at the Temple. Overnight stay at hotel.

Tapt Kund : Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bathe before entering the Badrinath temple.

Narad Kund : A recess in the river, near Tapt Kund, forming a pool from where the Badrinath idol was recovered.

Mata Murty Temple : Devoted to the mother of Sri Badrinathji. Other important temples include Sesh Netra Temple, Urvashi Temple and Charanpaduka.

Mana Village : Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet.

Bhim Pul : On the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge lies over the roaring Saraswati River. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.

Vyas Gufa (cave) : Near Mana Village, this is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and the pauranic commentaries.

Badrinath to rudraprayag(5 h 41 min /179.9 km)

Early Morning Pooja & Darshan at the Temple. Later drive to Rudrapryag, via Joshimath, Chamoli, Karanprayag, on arrival check in at the Hotel for Overnight stay.

Rudraprayag : It is the confluence of river Mandakini and river Alaknanda.

Temples : Rudranath and Chamunda Devi, Koteshwar Temple (3 Kms).sid seen night stay

rudraprayag to rishikesh(4 h 20 min/141.6 km)

Rishikesh sid seen Located in the laps of lower Himalayas, and is surrounded by scenic beauty of the hills on three sides with Holy Ganga flowing through it. The whole place is considered to be sacred as it is believed that meditation at this place leads to attainment of salvation. There are many temples-some ancient, some new along the river Ganges. Rishikesh is important not only as pilgrimage centre closely associated with the Ramayana, but also as home for many important centers of Hindu religious thought and spirituality, and as a very great Yoga Centre. There are a great many ashrams and Yoga institutes here.
